As a California native, Kelsy was raised by principles reflected in the eight limb path and naturally discovered the asana practice at a very young age. Her passion for the yoga lifestyle was sealed while in college where she studied with her very first “Teacher” rooted in the Hatha traditions. Yoga provided her a profound recovery after a major surgery and mindfulness and meditation opened her eyes to the amazing ability to heal using the mind-body connection. Kelsy’s teaching platform draws from over 20 years of study and experience in Medical Management, Holistic Health, Energy Medicine, Classical Yoga, MBSR and Meditation, Health Coaching and a multitude of Bodyways. Her passion remains focused on serving the members of our military, veterans, providers/caregivers and the severely underserved populations. Kelsy is the Founding Director of Guiding Wellness Institute, 200 RYT, Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner, and Holistic Life Coach. A proud member of the American Holistic Health Association, International Association of Yoga Therapists and Yoga Alliance.

After being a professional educator for over two decades, Beth decided to unite her love of teaching with her passion for the ancient and life changing practice of yoga. Drawn to yoga by a debilitating and chronic back condition Beth discovered, first hand, the healing power of yoga. Beth is an experienced, registered yoga teacher and is also a Warriors at Ease trained yoga and meditation teacher, dedicated to bringing the healing power of trauma sensitive yoga and meditation to our military community. Beth is a dedicated practitioner and teacher and she continues to expand and cultivate her own practice by studying with teachers and mentors around the country. She enjoys a variety of yoga disciplines but is particularly drawn to Vinyasa, enjoying the strengthening, empowering, and centering aspects of linking breath to movement. Beth teaches a wide variety of breath and alignment focused classes that are mindfully designed to meet the unique needs of all of her students. Beth hopes to share the life enhancing power of yoga with as many people as possible, helping them find the strength and the light that already exists inside them.  Beth is the founder and director of Life Moves Yoga, LLC.

Susan Alden is a graduate of the United States Military Academy and served for six years as an active duty Army logistics officer in the 82nd Airborne and 3rd Infantry Divisions.  For 18 years, Susan has been teaching both yoga and meditation within the military community, increasing awareness about PTSD, TBI, and combat stress and promoting complementary medicine on military bases across the country.  As founder of Ola Lokahi, Susan offers retreats grounded in indigenous practices and principles that invite visionary leaders in the military and the civilian sector to come together and connect with a deeper sense of peace and profound purpose.

Suffering from debilitating migraines Lisa discovered yoga in her early forties and consistent practice greatly reduced her migraine attacks,

Yoga helped her deal with the hectic life of running to framing stores. She feels she truly stepped onto a path of bliss when she began teacher training at the The Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, MA>

In 2001 she completed the 500-hour professional level teacher training program. Ashe she likes to say, “That is when my dharma met my karma. I knew this was my calling and I have to share it with everyone I meet.” Since selling her framing business, Lisa balances her days teaching yoga at her studio, Breathing Space, in Fayetteville, NC, playing in her art room and laughing with her friends.

She leads retreats as often as she can. Her inner joy brings smiles to anyone who meets her. Lisa lives a blissful existence with her fabulously understanding husband, Dean.

This self paced advanced program was created using a series of modules that allow participants to immerse themselves in topics and theory in their own time.

Warriors at Ease Level I & II Certification

Warriors at Ease brings the healing power of yoga and meditation to military communities around the world, especially those affected by combat-stress, PTSD, and trauma. We do this by training and deploying certified mind-body professionals to settings where they can enhance the health and well-being of service members, veterans, families, and healthcare staff.

Become A Wellness Ambassador

Guiding Wellness Ambassadors are a collective of individuals who understand wellness into its deepest capacity; understanding the message, living the mission, seeing the vision, and aligning with the seven pillars of wellness. These individuals see their work as a ministry to inspire their communities with the intention of living well and living on purpose while giving a wholehearted effort to share the abundance of the holistic, creative art that grounds and heals world in which we live.

Level I: Basic iRest® Training

iRest Yoga Nidra has been developed over the past twenty-six years by Richard Miller, PhD, a clinical psychologist, author, researcher and yogic scholar, and is uniquely suitable for a Western audience. Extensive research has shown that iRest effectively supports the healing process across a broad range of populations. Currently, there are iRest programs in military hospitals across the U.S., as well as in correctional facilities, hospices, clinics, schools, and organizations supporting personal growth and well-being. In June of 2010, iRest was endorsed by the US Army Surgeon General and Defense Centers of Excellence as a complementary and alternative medicine (CAM).
