👋Meet Mike! Mike’s 20+ years of unique bodyw

👋Meet Mike!

Mike’s 20+ years of unique bodywork experience allows him to view each unique client’s body as a puzzle of relatable intricacies waiting to be solved. He had a curiosity about how his own body worked and wound up joining a martial arts class. He was hooked and quickly realized how moving in non-linear ways often reduced pain and began integrating a new sense of wholeness in his own body. A short time later he needed to learn more and applied to National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL to begin a career in massage therapy.

Having a massage practice brought about a dual sense of integration; his techniques began helping people reduce pain and he was feeling better in his own body while doing the work. Mike continued working on clients and also began developing stretching and exercise protocols clients could use to further their healing. That still wasn’t enough! Mike found Rolfing Structural Integration™ when a visit to his Rolfer fixed chronic mid-back pain; by working on his ankle! He was so intrigued he found a way to make it to the school that year. A career in Structural Integration has allowed Mike to view the way your body moves through many different lenses.

In his practice, Mike can watch you walk and see where you are compensating, even if that is not the area that hurts. He blends soft and firm techniques along with movement reeducation to bring about profound changes in posture and movement. Sometimes this is uncomfortable and it should never hurt. Mike will find a way to deactivate your nervous system and help you let go of patterns that may not suit you anymore.

He also practices Rolf Movement™ which reestablishes more efficient ways of moving and gives you tools you can use any time your symptoms come back. Mike uses his integrated body to enjoy yoga, mountain biking and hiking throughout forests, mountains and beaches.
